Gunner, BLOWS!!! Hay Twist Of Cain, I added these CD's to this site. I have sence than added more CD's to this site, and guess what??? They don't add more CD's evidently!!! cause I could go on adding CD's for several weeks with all the CD's I own, and I tell ya what, it could increase the CD-numbers's by at least a 1000!!! So, let me embellish some wisdom upon you(Brutal Metal) by saying 'Dan' at Heavy Harmoniess.com has his shit together!!! Brutal Metal, open up man and let the info in!!!

This debut for Glenn Danzig is an amazingly simple ablum, no complex harmonies or anything else to get in the way of this perfect album. From the opening of 'Twist of Cain' to the end of 'Evil Thing' this album grips the listener and refuses to let go. One of the best metal recording of all time. No metal collection can even claim to have started without this masterpiece. heavyharmonies.com is a hard rock site. Think Poison, Jackyl, AC/DC Van Halen, Guns N Roses and you've got the idea.

Glenn Danzigīs voice is awesome! Every track is great on this debut (and DanzigII-Lucifuge). Not Of This World, Mother, The Hunter and Am I Demon are just great. Glennīs body is awesome too! ..I donīt mean THAT way...

completely awesome album - i have had for 10 yrs and i still love it. danzig has such a powerful voice. the lyrics are dark at times and while i am not a fan of death metal, i find myself singing along to these. the misfits w/danzig are great too and if you haven't checked them out you really need to - again have had for 10 yrs+ and while I don't listen to day in and out, i still have not tired of these recordings - catchy tunes sung by a totally incredible voice.

Shit, it's a classic... except Danny-boy completely plagiarized 'The Hunter' from 'How Many More Times' by Led Zep (1st album).

From: doyle_misfit Date: June 22, 2004 at 16:11
yeah twitch there's a big difference between danzig and led zepplin. they suck and danzig rules hahaha

People got some weird-ass ideas about Danzig. Like, how they're on BrutalMetal and not HeavyHarmonies. The ONLY thing that makes this a BrutalMetal album is the lyrical themes and imagery. Otherwise, this is straight-up bluesy hard-rock. Then, some people act like this debut is so inferior to the second and third albums; it's not. Just as good to my ears--I don't get where people say II is such a giant leap forward. Then, there are people who claim "Mother" is a shitty song; again, it's not. It's just their most popular, so that's enough in some people's minds. To me, the best thing about the album is the riffs: they just plain sound cool, yet are simple enough that even I can play them on guitar and sound good doing it. Oddly, the biggest flaw is the thing so distinctive: Glenn's over-the-top wailing vocals. The dude can be downright irritating. Regardless, not a bad song on the disc, although my favoorite is "Twist Of Cain."
