Their first real classic album! This is magic in the making! All tracks stand out & if you listen closely you'll find snippets of songs that are found later on on releases by the numerous artists they inspired...This is priest at their peak along with the next release...

Forwards: "Stand back for exciter salvation is his task"....Backwards: "I asked for a peppermint I asked her to get one"....Ehhhh Can't really see how anybody would wanna kill themselves over that...Hmmm...

When she did not get me the aforementioned peppermint, I was so depressed I felt suicidal. Feel the power of Mentos...

This is one of my all time favorite albums. A masterpiece from beginning to end. Priest rules!

Beyond The Realms Of Death... Their Best Song..i think

From: Big Papa K Date: July 7, 2004 at 17:54
They just keep getting better. This one is more straighforward metal without much variety, but the quality can't be questioned. Plenty of classics here such as "Exciter", "Better By You, Better Than Me", and "Beyond The Realms Of Deather". 10/10

From: Metal T Date: November 5, 2004 at 16:58
I prefer this one over "British Steel"--based on the aggression alone. Screaming vocals and very heavy."Gamma Ray" (with Ralf Scheepers on vocals) do a monster copy of this on the priest tribute . ----

continued--- monster copy of "Exciter" that is .

This is a CLASSIC!!! maybe the best album of the late 70's! "Exciter", "Better By You, Better Than Me", "Beyond The Realms Of Death"...amazing!!! The rumours about the hidden backward message was just a myth...2 boys commiting suicide just listening to music? Sad, but I love the music, not the horrible accident

The first 'ture' metal album. Thank God for Judas Priest!!

From: Ravenlunatic1 Date: February 19, 2005 at 20:02
Simply one of the finest albums ever recorded, bar none!

From: schenker fan Date: July 3, 2005 at 17:26
Priest's BEST, PERIOD. No one has mentioned THE BEST Priest original tune of all time: "White Heat, Red Hot" The song "Stained Class" also rips. "Exciter is well worth a listening too. "Hell Bent" (the next album) was close, but not quite as good.

From: KISS Date: August 31, 2005 at 5:43
Stained class follows in the dark tradition of their previous two album as they stray away from the influence/sound of black sabbath (during their debut-rocka rolla) to their own style/sound. That said, beyond the realms of death is a classic. Saints in hell had one of the best riff i've heard and exciter would be one of the first speed metal song (after purple's highway star and rainbow kill the king). The only song i dislike is invader, IMO the only filler here.

Mira el año y te darás cuenta que este disco fué totalmente adelantados a su tiempo, es por eso que son los CREADORES del VERDADERO HEAVY METAL. ROB HALFORD es lo máximo y esas hachas son pura energía. "Beyond the Realms of Death" que tema!!!!! "Stairway to Heaven"??? jejeje.. si muy parecido, fantástica. "Exciter" CLASICAZO!! "Stained Class" "Saints in Hell" o "Savage" incomparables. CLASICO DE POR VIDA. 9.3/10

From: Doug Date: February 2, 2011 at 15:25
The album right before they exploded on the scene. I used to play the heck out of this one back in the day. It's really good. Les Binks was a better drummer IMO than Dave Holland, although will not go as far to say better than Scott Travis.

From: pie75 Date: April 18, 2012 at 6:44
stained class is fine suff beyond the realms of death is a classic worth the money alone

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 3, 2017 at 18:08
Lovely Judas!..."Exciter" is my fave cut in here along with "White Heat,Red Hot"...tracks 6 & 9 are also appealing to me.80/100

From: hair metal again Date: December 23, 2020 at 10:12
very good release for JUDAS PRIEST in the late 70s and really defining the classic heavy metal sound with those fast songs and such kinda riffs along with high octane vocs!"excoter","beyond the realms of death" and "white heat, red hot" are classics!
