The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Nightwish CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Nightwish are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This is their fourth studio album in this point. Theres also live cd out, where are those? Again, great release and full of great tunes on it. Bless The Child, Dead To The World, Slaying The Dreamer and so on... Only thing that bothers me: "End Of All Hope" is really similar with "Wishmaster", from the album Wishmaster.

I agree with ya RR, where are the rest of their albums?!?! Nightwish is definitely my favorite band, and i'm from the U.S. A couple of my friends and I have been spreading the word about Nightwish around our schools and stuff and everyone thinks they're amazing!!! Some of their best songs are FantasMic, Beauty and the Beast, She is My Sin, End of All Hope, and Sacrament of Wilderness.

I do not agree with you two. I could never ever listen to Nightwish longer than 0 seconds.

And I agree with heilan coo...Although I could probably listen to them for a little longer than 0 seconds and then feel like throwing up....

I saw Nightwish live during their U.S. tour, and I have to say that THEY ROCKED!!! I have all their albums, including the new "Once." But I listen to none of them more than "Century Child." I can't pick out a standout track, but I'm like that with all of my Top 10 favorite albums of all time.

Female vocals, soaring keys, seering guitars, the occassional death growl, odd arrangements, trademark Euro-drums complete with double bass, crisp production, memorable choruses and an overall epic atmosphere make Century Child a classic symphonic metal CD. Heavier than Dream Theater and without the annoyingly strange time signatures, Nightwish will scratch your itch for technical musicianship without leaving you feeling like you've just listened to an exercise for guitar geeks. A power metal A+

Excelent album; Holopainen is a great musician and writer he make nightwish better. But nw arent a true metal band but theyre a good melodic band.

From: Swyrm Date: November 19, 2004 at 10:37
The musicianship is top notch and although the operatic voice can be a bit distracting at times, this is a good album. I haven't taken the newest release, once, out of my CD player since I got it.

From: Dani Filth Date: January 28, 2005 at 10:12
I might be considered unwelcome here. I'm a pretty hardcore black and death metal fan. This considered, I recently heard the songs "Nemo" and "Planet Hell" without knowing what to make of them. The music is great. Tarja has a magnificent voice, albiet the operatic stuff does tend to shit me off. in fact, that is about the only criticism i can find with nightwish. if they got rid of the opera, this would surpass being a good band and become a great band. Fuck to anyone who says CoF suck.

From: Blayde Date: January 28, 2005 at 17:05
Yeah, you're so "hardcore," yet you listen to CoF and Dimmu Borgir -- mainstream beginners metal!

From: Danilo_777 Date: February 14, 2005 at 6:40
This band has blown me apart and I can see why they are selling out concerts across Europe. Once they get into their thrashy metal riffs they are hypnotic, they rock and Tarja is the Queen of Heaven. Cant wait till they come to Sydney,Australia. \M/ rock on

From: Supernaut Date: April 15, 2005 at 14:44
Phantom of The Opera is awesome!!! Tarja tunes her pipes well on this one!!!

Nice stuff...tracks # 5,7,8 & 9 are the ones in my book of Symphonic/Melodic Metal...Tarja's superb as usual...shame she left them.82/100
