this album has some silly satanic lyrics ( sorry but these are just my opinions ) but the music contained here is great, however its TOOOOO much reminescent of Iron Maiden, sometimes sounding like a clone

This is the best record with John Arch in vocals. A Classic Heavy Metal with a great ballad "Damnation". Buried Alive is a Killer song. Buy now!! MASTERPIECE

I agree with Zze concerning the satanic lyrics. Way too many Heavy Metal bands are that way. However Metal is my favorite type of music and this Fates Warning CD is one of the best. Misfit is my favorite song here, but the entire CD rocks! In my humble opinion this is Fates best work. Their other albums are good, but a tad bit boring at times ( note: I only have 5 of their albums ).

Gran debut. 8.8/10

very good debut for FATES WARNING back in 84 and of course a classic of the US power metal scene !great riffs ,suitable vocals by John Arch and a certain dark vibe all over!all the songs are remarkable and that was a great start for a band that shined through the years
