the most hated cd from helloween but I like it even if its "kind of not helloween". especially first time, crazy cat, I believe, When the sinner. Its far from their best and it only sold 2500 copies (ive heard): still the helloween feeling on some songs but they lost it here....MISS YOU KISKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With this album Helloween headed on through a different road. It's a pity they had to go back after releasing such a great work! I would have followed them through that road, cause I'm sure the combination Kiske/, Helloween/Chameleon's vibe would have given us the most brilliant episodes in the band's history.

One word review of this album: YUCK. This is the only Helloween album I can truly say I HATED. My CD got traded away many years ago and I don't miss it one iota. Good ridn'z.

Es una lastima que una banda como helloween hagan esa musica tan mediocre, le pondria un 5.0 solo por dos temas que salvan este mediocre album ( GIANTS Y FIRST TIME ) Lo demas es BASURA...

This is not heavy metal at all, with horns, acoustic guitars, and ballads galore. Having said that, this is an interesting realease showing that the band can do more than power metal. The songs are better than the last album ("First Time", "Windmills", "Step Out Of Hell") and the production is much better. 7/10

I hate to admit it. But I didn't like this cd that much. I still hear it, for the songs FIRST TIME, WHEN THE SINNER, GIANTS, and STEP OUT OF HELL. Well, this is a hated cd (sadly, I hate it a little bit) but it's still enjoyable for the songs I named... I miss HELLOWEEN with kiske and ingo....R.I.P., ingo, we all miss you

Underrated even today. Chameleon is a great progressive rock album with a lot of musical influences. Influences range from metal, to hard rock, blues and pop. Best songs on here: "Giants", "I Believe", "Music" and "Longing" which is Kiske's most emotional performance ever! Check this album out in order to have an opinion, don’t listen to the false rumours.

Estoy contigo, Iñaki. Yo aún lo oigo y es un pasón. Chapeau con lo que has dicho y nada que añadir.

I really like this album for its versatility. It shows how talented musicians the band members are. Sure, it isn't something a power metal fan would want from Helloween. This isn't the Helloween of KOTSK's, but it is a great album on its own anyway. The arrangements of the songs are really enjoyable. Kiske's performance is maybe the strongest ever on this album, he sounds just awesome. It's a huge shame he left the band. Open your mind, give this album a chance and you'll like it!

Ok so this was a bit out of the norm for them. There were a few that I liked (When The Sinner, I Don't Wanna Cry No More and Music) on here but other than that it doesn't get a whole lot of play. If you like the 'power metal' Helloween, stay away from this one. If your open to hearing them in a different sound then give this one a shot.

The chameleon changes its skin and so did Helloween on this Record and even though i consider myself a very open minded listener i must admit that the album is not a good one at all...tracks 1,5,9 & 10 are somehow ok but the album is kinda pale one, nothing really exciting in it and with a sound that,if you are a die hard fan of the band, you'll be completely disappointed with...50/100

Solid,!!! And not all the same damn boring Riff since 85,!!! like Maiden do so well since 40 years,,,,peoples are not tired sometime of the Galop galop Bonanza theme ?????? but not Helloween ,cause on this album you can hear how this guys can play real musics,,,,So peoples who don't like this, just grow up a little bit right,,,,,Anyway helloween was Kiske,!!!

pretty good album for HELLOWEEN offering a diverse sound from metal to hard rock to classic rock but unfortunately the songs arent so memorable !the production & the musicianship are excellent but the lack of strong choruses makes Chameleon maybe their weakest effort!"step out of hell","revolution now" and "crazy cat" are the best moments
