| A nice little death debut album, but not nearly as good as their future endeavors. This is very good raw, death metal, and listening to it you can hear the strong Possessed, Slayer, and Death influences. The good on the album (Shredded Humans, Born in a Casket, Rotting Head, etc.) outweighs the bad on the album (Put Them to Death, A Skull Full of Maggots). If you want to hear Cannibal Corpse at their best, go for Gallery of Suicide or The Bleeding, but if you just want raw death, this is it.

| Well, butchered at birth was my first of cannibal, wehn i bought this one, i had 2 getting used 2 chris vocals, but time passed by, and i really recommend this album 2 anybody with a inner lust for disturbing music with disturbing lyrics!! Hail the Cannibals!!

| Classic, to say the least, Eaten Back to Life is one of the best Cannibal Corpse cds. Only problem is finding it (and all the others!) on original cd, 'cause it's banned in so many places.

| seriously... u have to be joking!! What the fuck is the singer saying?!! Seriously! The only word i could hear is 'grrrr' and thats not even a word!! But i guess its a good thing that he sings like that, cause do u know wat he is talking about? Im not even gonna mention it! Go and find out ur self and be glad that he sings like that!! I hate these type of Death Metal bands!! Might as well be called 'Noise'!! Guitarist isnt too crash hot either!! This is bullshit!!

| Oh, I can tell you that when I was reading the lyrics to their song "Necropedophile" where the lead singer molests a dead childs corpse, I immediately turned against this band. This goes way beyond any fucking horror movie- and dont give me that "freedom of expression" crap cuz child molesters should have their genitals ripped off. Cannibal Corpse should stand for "Cunt-faced Cocksuckers".

| whilst the MUSIC is good, this is one of the very, very few times i have to draw the line with a band. try as i might, i simply cannot get into songs about child molesting, gore for the sake of gore, cannibalism, etc... whilst i respect the band as being strong-stomached enough to put out this kind of art, i must draw the line. I will never be a fan of Cannibal Corpse.

| On a brighter note, check out some other types of Death Metal that i find enjoyable- Death, old In Flames, Obituary, Carcass, Hate Eternal, Fuck...I'm Dead. the last is particularly amusing.
