The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Anthrax CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Anthrax are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

It's a really good CD. I just buy it and I don't regreat it. I like the beat and the guitare is awesome. It's a CD to buy. 4 stars.

This CD churnes out the toughest, most strippeddown, no-nonsence Thrash. A great blast of fresh air!!! Persistence throws you hefty chunks of New York-style anger and frustration, coupled with a blend of heavy-handed power and those ever-present cathy choruses!!! While "State Of Euphoria" holds much of the same elements. Persistance play's it a little more straight and serious from the opening track! "Time" comes across like a solid-steel piston, hammering down with an unrelenting energy!!!

This is the "Best" disc of the Belladonna era. This was Anthrax at their "peak." Very little filler & lots of great riffage by Scott & Dan "Lazy E" Spitz! If you don't have any Thrax discs, this would be a great way to start a collection! 8.5-on the swine scale! \m/

This album took a little getting used to for me. The sound on this is darker than prior efforts. Gone are the Jamz and the smiles from this bunch. Album has some fantastic song writing on it. This disc is well worth the purchase.

this is a great album however not as good as "spreading" for example. I think I could call this as "melodic thrash/speed" metal or simply late 80´s speed metal, so don´t expect something on the harder edge of Thrash Metal like Slayer or Sodom. Joey Belladonna shows his best on this one to me. Great guitar tones and some catchy songs as well. check out " Belly of the Beast" and " One Man Stands"

This is in my opinion Anthrax's best album with Belladonna. The music is dark, dense, and heavy, and as with State Of Euphoria the socially and politically conscious lyrics have continued.The best tracks are "Time", "Keep It In The Family", "In My World", and "Intro To Reality/Belly Of The Beast", and "One Man Stands". This album continued to prove that Anthrax was in the same league as Megadeth, Slayer, and Metallica.

This is better than the last album, but still has a little too much filler. However, "Keep It In The Family" and "Belly Of The Beast" are excellent, while the cover of "Got The Time" is one of the best covers ever. 8/10

Excellent CD well worth the money. A great cd for guitar players to work on their chops, riffs, etc...And since most of the tunes are lengthy it makes it challenge to memorize. Overall, the recording is good, although sometimes it's a challenge hear certain parts because of overdubbing and layering effects. In terms of songwriting it is excellent!!In fact, with the exception of the Sound Of White Noise, they really haven't written anything quite as good since then. Grade 8 out of 10.

This was the first Anthrax cd I boought, and I like these guys. I now own all albums up until the Sound of White Noise. I don't know the difference of John Bush's voice? Is it good or bad? Keep it in the Family was probably my fave Anthrax song along with I'm the Man. I think a lot of people hated the song, because of the rap content, but I thought it was a good record to play when music got a little too serious. Anthrax have some really good humor in a lot of their songs

You can get "Bring the Noise" on Attack of the Killer B's. As for John Bush, he is a great singer. I would suggest picking up We Have Come For You All and Greater of Two Evils.

About the question regarding John Bush: he is a GREAT singer! Check out his work with ARMORED SAINT in the 80's and you'll know what I mean. But I've always said that the real good voice for ANTHRAX was Joey Belladonna. Nothing's wrong about John Bush...just that he's a great singer, but his works with ARMORED SAINT back in the 80's were better for him (only my opinion). If you are planning to buy SOUND OF WHITE NOISE check out the song "ONLY" and you'll love it!!!!

Listened to Persistence Of Time for the first time earlier today it kicks some serious ass this and Attack Of The Killer B's were the last great albums from Anthrax i haven't listen to the John Bush era stuff yet except for Poison My Eyes on the Last Action Hero CD but i'm sure it's cool i still have to get I'm The Man and Penikufesin and all of the John Bush era stuff and then my Anthrax collection will finally be complete i have one question the song Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun is

off of The Beavis And Butt-Head Experience CD is Joey Belladonna or John Bush singing on that song it sounds like Joey Belladonna but i wasn't sure that song is funny although kinda rappy it's still a cool song.

Anthrax at the peak of their career in here and becoming a pretty commercial band(following acts like Metallica or Megadeth that did the same thing and obtained a lot of worldwide recognition,something that Anthrax has fought for but still is below the aforementioned bands)...tracks 2,3(best),4,8(best)& 9 are my faves...84/100

Gone are the board shorts and songs based on Stephen King novels, replaced by black clothes and more social commentary. The darker, less goofy outlook is coupled with music that is still Anthrax, but has a grim, steely edge, complemented by crystal-clear production. The band also trade in some of the bounciness of old for twisty rhythms that seem inspired by what Metallica did on And Justice For All. Supposedly Joey had a tough time singing the newly serious lyrics with the gravitas that Scott wanted, but ultimately pulled it off. The big single was the clearest throwback to the more light-hearted days of old, the breakneck cover of Joe Jackson's "Got The Time," sung by Scott, but other highlights include "In My World" and "Belly Of The Beast," both of which were also videos. There's also "H 8 Red," one of the band's most underrated tunes. I love Among The Living, but I think Persistence Of Time holds up better as a whole, and is my favorite from Belladonna's first tour of duty.

Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Judas Priest, Pantera, Queensryche, and even Alice In Chains (although many of us wouldn't hear them for several months)—all of these bands put out very, very strong albums between August and October of 1990, making the fall that year an awesome time to be a metalhead.

CORRECTION: "Got The Time," sung by Joey. Thought I'd heard somewhere Scott sang this, and it is in a bit of a deeper voice than Joey usually sang in.
