Pound for pound, Ghost Reveries MIGHT be Opeth's best album, although it doesn't seem as commplex or heavy as some past releases. The production isn't as dense as, say, Blackwater Park, but the opeth sound is still there, no worries. Three of the eight tracks are on the mellow side, in addition to the softsecttions we've come to expect sprinkled through the heavy songs. Best songs are "Ghost Of Perdition," "The Baying Of The Hounds," and "The Grand Conjuration," all ten-minute, shap-shifting monsters, and the somber, acoustic "Isolation Years."

Great album by this act that step by step has obtained a more and more worldwide recognition...best tracks for me are "Reverie/Harlequin Forest","The Grand Conjuration" & "Isolation Years"(nice)...i own a version of this CD without the Deep Purple cover...anyway this is a good one to have .88/100
