Agree with elvincb - this album is also the epitome of Obituary's style.

obituary was amazing when they first arrived on the scene... but their style just sounds corny listening to it now.

Death metal all-time classic! Mid-tempo death, sometimes intensely slow if not occasionally switched with faster parts. Perfected Obituary's well-known style. John Tardy's vokills are fantastic! Fans have it for ages...

This album is an amazing effort from Obituary. One of the more stand out ideas on this album is that it actually features lyrics (prior albums just had Tardy grunting musically). This is one of the 'must own' death metal albums.

I think the vocals totally fucked the music up. The Guitar riffs are totally awesome. Im not a Death Metal fan but sometimes i gotta listen to this album to get my dose of riffs for the day.

I agree with EDU on this one. I'm a Huge Obituary fanatic but The end Complete as a whole album is too much technical and slow in my opinion. I like the speed moments with "Rotting Ways", there are brutal riffs but the production/sound is just average in my opinion. anyway 85/100 OBITUARY RULES!!!!!

The End Complete was, and may still be, Obituary's best-selling album (and Roadrunner's top-selling T-shirt), as it was released near the peak of death metal's early-'90's boom. Allen West returns with his wild soloing, but the band starts to explore their slower side a bit more, and the songs even start to have more distinguishable verses and choruses. In this way, it's a bit more accessible than the first two albums, but John Tardy still sounds like he's blowing chunks all over the vocal booth, and the guitar sound is just disgusting: fuzzy and thick and soupy, with feedback bubbling up like noxious swamp gas. "I'm In Pain" is a top highlight, but nearly every song as a simple, memorable riff or two. It's a great disc to blast during a heat wave while you're drinking beer outside, to scare your neighbors.
