This is the best U.S. album of gore death metal ever! Mixing pure death metal with slow parts full of sorrow and pain(a little of doom gore). and his vocalist,Chris Reifert one of the most great vocalists in the scene. Buy or DIE!!!!!!!

Like this than check out the EP "Fiend For Blood" it marks the first U.S. distribution for these guys which ment that no record store in America would have the excuse not to stock a product by one of my favorite bands of all time!! Besides that, this band is so godly I can't even begine to tell you everything I love about them. Anyone who bitches these guys are "Too Slow" is obviously sniffing glue and having sex with their relatives. Break down the door and eat the clerks entrails to buy this!!

I still prefer "Severed Survival" with it's thick bass sound, sick vocals, brutal drumming, then "In the grip of winter" EP and "Fiend for Blood" mini are in my opinion Autopsys best moments, not that the other albums don't just plain rule!!!

The single Greatest Death Metal album of all time. If Matti Karki from Dismember says it is his favorite album then that must say something. And even Nocturno Culto from Darkthrone has said that it's more grim than most black metal albums. (??) Highly influential and a must if you are interested in the history of Death metal. Autopsy are starting to become a forgotten gem, so pick this album up or DIE!! Long live the shiteaters!!! \m/ \m/
