EPs and CD-singles from Saxon are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Saxon is one of my favorite bands. I don't why they are in brutal metal and not in heavy harmonies. Allthough I consider them is the ultimate heavy metal band they are more hardrock than metal

Denim and Leather is a call to arms for metalheads worldwide. Saxon rule! This CD is a classic! The person who said they are 'hard rock' and not 'heavy metal' doesn't know what heavy metal is. Sadly heavy metal is being redifined by the current crop of crap, while the guys who actually spawned the genre, like Saxon and Priest are being relabeled as 'hard rock.' What a crock! http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/saxon.htm

Yep,the mighty "Saxon" are definitely metal! They've more than solidified their place in the genre,as like you said Saxon' alongside Priest,Maiden etc. practically invented the style. ----
