The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. A return to form after the rather blah "I Hear Black". This was also their last album on a major label. Thankfully some smart indies have kept them alive since then! Overkill rules!

This was a major improvement over I HEAR BLACK. The songs here are shorter, better paced and feature some great chant along choruses(particularly "Bastard Nation"). Overkill's last great album(they've done some decent work since, but their style is a lot different).

I HEAR BLACK kills just like all OVERKILL albums kill! KILLBOX 13 is their heaviest ever...and its newest! W.F.O. is definately one of the greatest Speed Metal albums of all time. FAST JUNKIE is great!

The only problem with this album is the odd bass sound. Verni's bass is so high in the mix... after a couple of tracks it sounds like a hive of angry bees were flying around the studio during the recording.

Forget about the bass sound...this album kicks a**es up all the way!!! ...soild thrashin' record with that unique sound Overkill has displayed over the years..."Up To Zero" is the best song in here IMO,a knockout, then we have some others beat downs in the shape of "Where It Hurts","They Eat Their Young","Supersonic Hate","R.I.P./Undone"(a fantastic little acoustic guitar performance)& "Gasoline Dream"...Bobby & the rest of the guys did a great job on this album...recommended...91/100
