This is their best. Old, A thousand eyes...Man did This Burn. Haven't heard the new one. I wonder if is as good as this.Rob Flynn was in the band Vio-lence!!! Cool Stuff!!!!

Machine Head are often seen as a successor to Pantera, coming out with a similarly thuggish style of post-thrash metal. And by their own admission, several of the bandmembers were little more than thugs themselves, dealing drugs and brawling in the streets of a rough town like Oakland. The music embodies that streetwise mentality, similar to Biohazard, although Machine Head are better musicians. Right away, Robb Flynn's guitar sound is unique in that he uses a fair amount of chorus (you can really hear it on that one harmonic note that has become his signature—see "None But My Own"). But his sound is thick and a little muddy, and doesn't have that razor-sharp tone like Dimebag Darrell. He's a decent singer, although not outstanding in either his bellow or his "normal" voice. The songs aim for Metallica-like complexity, which is sometimes beyond the band's grasp, but for the most part, this is a visceral, rage-fueled affair, and the band tries to take the best parts of the aforementione

... aforementioned bands and twist them to their own designs. Burn My Eyes ends up as one of the better metal releases of the mid-'90's, and the band's best work until The Blackening in 2007.
