You want Metallica? You got Metallica ... sort of. No, James Hetfield hasn't been saved; it's just Joe Chambless imitating his singing style. Eerie, though! The music is technical, pounding, blow-the-CD player-out-of-your-car Power Metal. Too bad the vocals are often lost in the guitars. Also, the CD is too dang long. (Save some for later, guys!) Anyways, this is a great freshman effort. Joe might want to re-think channeling Hettie, however, before being dismissed as a Metallica clone.

Snappy, speed metal with a bit of groove. Vocalist Joe Chambless has spent a lot of time studying his Metallica discs as he sounds very similar to James Hetfield both is style and even in quality. Perhaps this is why the band has been labeled a Metallica clone, even though their music is not really that Metallica-like. The production is very digital sounding, right down to the triggered drums and guitars that sound like they are recorded direct, rather than through an amp. I like this CD.
