What they did to Roger Martinez was sick and wrong. I wouldn't buy this C.D. if it were the last one on Earth. I had the misfortune to buy the first one and have, after listened to it, thrown it away. BOOOOO

ben you are completely mistaken. They did nothing wrong to Roger. You don't know what you are talking about. Try getting your facts straight before you post your trite! The fact is Roger wanted the band to continue after the guys wanted to end it. He willingly took on the debt of the band, but he also got the rights to the name, the songs, and got a ton of merchandise to sell that was leftover from the Once Dead tour. If Roger failed, it was his own fault, not the fault of the other guys.

...and by the way, both these albums slay!!! I prefer the first one to the second one. The first one actually has songs that were to be on the third Vengeance CD. Cage was one of those songs. Excellent, aggressive metal with a vocalist that sounds a tad like Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. Outstanding!!! It should also be noted that Greg Chaisson (ex-Badlands) plays on Volume 2, not Roger Martin. The band also put out a live CD.

Love both cds by Die Happy....first one was more thrash mixed with classic rock, with classic vocals similar to Deep Purple, and second one was a very 70's type hard rock album....great in it's own way. Both cds are classics IMO and showed how brilliant songwriters such as Larry, Doug, etc were (are) ...as for Roger Martinez....still love his work in first 2 Vengeance cds especially ...but he was definitely the one in the wrong in this situation...As Jesse said above he took on Vengeance after t

I have both on cassette from back in the day. These two releases kick major tail!! Although I love the Vengeance stuff with this lineup I think Die Happy was nice change. I always thought is more natural....had a lot of groove to it!

What Jesse said about Roger and Vengeance is the truth. The DH guys did nothing wrong to Roger. As for the albums themselves, both DH CDs are very different. I prefer the first one. It still has that heavy Vengeance vibe with killer vocals. Ian Gillan is a good comparison. "Cage" is probably my favorite song. I would actually love to hear this song with some aggressive vocals. Vengeance played this song live under the name "The Wailing". It sounded great with thrash vox.

The first Die Happy record is amazing...one of the best metal albums I know. While I love the fast, chugga rhythms of songs like "Perpetual Motion" and "Real", I have to say that my favorite song is actually the ballad! "Celebration" is just an awesome song for a married guy like me. I love that song!

Why bother even commenting if you are going to make an inane comment like that. I'll bet you haven't even heard them. I'd put Larry Farkas up against the best metal has to offer. Few could match him. Die Happy, Vengeance and Once Dead RULE!!!
