EPs and CD-singles from Tool are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Tool has outdone themselves. This CD has everything from progressive metal with 'Schism' to powerful, in-your-face metal with 'Ticks & Leeches'. 'Schism' and 'Lateralus' highlight an awesome disc. A must have for any modern rock or Tool fan.

From: scavenger Date: August 13, 2002 at 17:32
this cd is exellent, the best from tool up to this point

From: nick Date: September 9, 2002 at 18:49
this is probably the best fucking record of all time. most nu metal bands couldn't even write filler songs like eon blue apoclypse in their sleep. I read an article in metal edge once where p.o.d. mocked maynard and tool for being anti god and hypocrites. p.o.d, you can suck gods dick all you want, but it doesn't make your music any good, listen to tool and learn how to write rock. Tool fucking rules, this is their masterpiece!

From: Damien Date: October 11, 2002 at 11:21
uhhh.... in case eveyone failed to notice Tool isn't a metal band at all. Or am I just a dumbass? Still a great, and VERY long, album. I got it and liked it and you better do the same or else I'll eat your heart!!

From: xxPainxx Date: January 8, 2003 at 19:15
tool is absolutly amazing the only thing wrong with this record is there is not enough of what they put on undertow...and has any one else noticed they r forgetting Opiate their other record...

From: Carrie Date: January 17, 2003 at 17:19
Very good CD. Very very awesome band. I like Aenima a bit better though. And I won't judge Undertow up to it, because Undertow has it's little something that I just love.

From: mutha trucka Date: January 18, 2003 at 6:20
carrie sounds hot. i am straight and would have sex with her. rob halford is not straight. tool might be gay or straight. i dont care about lateralus. manowar is much better than tool. manowar will slay slayer and slaughter slaughter. boobies and vaginas rule!!!

death Blooms, I have read three of your reviews today and I have a question for you. Can you form a sentence without uttering the same expletive several times? This is one of the reasons people think metalheads are morons! Buy a dictionary and expand your vocabulary. TOOL is NOT metal!

From: Robert Jonson Date: February 19, 2003 at 4:39
Tool is not nu-metal dammit. They've been badass drug rock since 92 fuckers.

From: Rycheage Date: March 11, 2003 at 2:16
Who cares what style of metal they are. This CD rocks nonetheless.

From: Titty Date: March 27, 2003 at 20:55
While they have achieved great things in the past, this album sounds like some wanky prog-type shit, but not as interesting or technical as other prog-metal wanksters of their time. Kind of like a really heavy Genesis. Kickass music, but pretentious twaddle for lyrics. The Grudge is one ass kicker of a tune, I must say.

From: darkfirelord Date: April 17, 2003 at 16:51
i agree tool is pretty good but there like a bunch of damn stoners.

From: Date: May 25, 2003 at 16:28
i dont now what the fuck tool plays in my opinion it is only rock this thing is passable compared with other shit that is sounding now days but I stay with iron maiden Crimson glory etc

From: theoneofblood Date: June 7, 2003 at 4:39
I have to say it, I personally think that Tool cannot be pigeon-holed under one specific style. However, to say that Tool's lyrics are pretentious demonstrates that you haven't really listened to them. Songs like Parabol/Parabola, Reflection and Lateralus, for example, contain immense depth rarely seen in any music nowadays. In other words, TOOL ROCKS!!!! Interesting side-note, the sound on track four of Lateralus, called Mantra, is really a cat being squeezed in slow motion.

From: Schmieckie Date: June 29, 2003 at 8:45
Some really mesmerising and compelling stuff on this record, but on the whole it tends to be really bombastic and proggy, like a super heavy Genesis or something. Maybe I just expected more from these guys. Check out Meshuggah, their opening act on the last tour. Now those guys are progressive and yet still immensely heavy and accessible to the average metal fan (and no, Nu-metal doesn't count as metal. And nu-metal fans don't count as metal fans, even if they are into Tool).

From: Klaxmexalix Date: May 18, 2004 at 4:18
Each tool album is an epic journey of truth, growth and enigma, if u can open your heart and mind to thier music then anything is possiable.

From: shannon Date: June 18, 2004 at 1:13
HEY!! WHERE'S 'OPIATE???' ps---> Nu-Metal? I hardly think so and I know my fellow T00L fans will agree: so-called nu-metal is for SISSY WANNABE'S!!

Its different, but i like it. Its a pure headtrip of an album but if you're impatient with music then dont buy this album.

From: RHD Date: August 10, 2004 at 5:12
Artistic, and very impressive, but it just doesn't have the raw power of Aenima.

From: Metalhead66 Date: October 7, 2004 at 16:42
These guys twist the fuck out of the 4/4 time..Great fuckin guitar sounds..Not my favorite band, but they are very Unique 7/10...

From: Ghostofwar Date: January 24, 2005 at 10:03
