Killerhurts is right Korn isnt rap metal or metal at all. They are top 40 hip hop just like n'sync, back street boys, and all the rest of the weak, spineless groups that your 13 year old sister listens to.

When Korn got together, they figured out that to be in the underground music scene, you'll probably starve to death, so what did they do??? They prostituted themselves and came up with, what I call, 'Cute metal'. Today, the life span of their cds are between two to three months, 'cause you'll get sick of it real quick and you'll want to use it as a beer mat, just like the AOL cds!!!

First Mudvayne are on this metal page and now Korn? And yes, Korn is fucking rap! Only difference is that they just add weak guitar riffs with an actual (shitty) drummer. I've said it for Mudvayne and I'll say for these wanna-be metal pricks here, Korn have no right being on any metal zine or webpage of metal. Korn makes (c)rap music for clueless little boys and girls.

Korn is Pop music with Guitars. Their music is fucking pathetic with almost no talent at all. The riffs are ever heavy, as they have been washed of any distortion by the shite effects they have added to them to try and sound good. Right. The lyrics are so bad that I could have written better with my fingers amputated, its always ' my wife left me because I fuck teenagers and groopies, please pity my horrible existance', I wish he killed himself so we went subjected to this shit. Fuck OFf posers

I used to like Korn. Not anymore. I've come to realize that there is much better metal out there. The best being that which nobody has heard of. If you like sadist music go for it. If you like true metal get Iced Earth, Blind Guardian or Paradise Lost. On a 1 to 10 scale Damien gives this a big fat 4! Honestly Korn has gotten way more attention then they deserve.

I've been listening to metal since the 70s and I think KoRn rocks! I've listened to all the different metal over the years and I think it's great just to see metal in some form still going. Sure there is metal that is better, but how many of you remeber when you were rocking out to def leppard or bon jovi . Stop lying you know you did. At least people are trying to come up with something new and still rock. Think about the other shitty music that have always overshadowed Metal over the years.

This album is highly formulaic in it's delivery, there is nothing new or original here. Korn has definately geared themselves towards the mainstream on this release (and others before it). Not even worth the listen as the album is uninspired, tired and boring. Also, I'm frankly tired of the attacks on Korn calling them names. I don't care for the band members myself, but that should not be a factor here. Review the band's music and not what you think of the band members.

Korn...Heavy Metal? NO, Korn is not heavy metal. The title above says the 'Heavy Metal Reference on the Internet!' and therefore bands like Korn should not be listed here. I do not feel like taking the time to talk trash about Korn. But one clear message I have to say is THEY DID NOT BRING BACK HEAVY METAL!

Korn should change their name to CORPORATE CRAP, or just CRAP. Korn was all about the $$$ from day 1.They are a perfect example of a band who make a bad name for METAL and even RAP & POP, even though I can't listen to 1 sec. of rap music or radio pop Korn disgraces all genres because they are purly motivated by sales and commercial value. Listen to death-metal, most of it is true expression of musicianship.

Man all the peopple who wrote bad shit about korn, you guys should realize that metal is divided in many other genders within the metal gender, so korn is an exact sample of this generations metal represantatives, talk about rap-metal, nu-metal whatever you want to call it bull shit.. but there are bands who sounded a hell of a fuckin heavy and agressive but they got sticked there, in the same sound just that with lyrics arranged diferently, and korn is constantly revoucionacing in every album.

As far as i know, korn is no better than any of those crap alternative/grunge bands like nirvana and pearl jam. This album is just insanely horrible.what lousy guitar playing, the band is not fit for solo(george lynch and nikki sixx can play guitar a billion times better than both monkey and head).ratings:1/10

motley crue have done it all in 20 years while korn is just some band who produce no more than a few album and 'died' off. as far as makeup is concern, thats the trend and that does not make you gay. That statement you say makes you a hypocrites. i am not one. lets face it:korn's music is horrible-no quality:the guitar solo.vocals and lyrics are crap. At least i listen to quality metal music like motley crue, cinderella and gun'n'roses.

Heres another korn fan who have no idea what metal music is all about. ALL THEY can say is korn rules or korn is king or whatever. this statement is only present in their own mind or do u have a mind at all, korn rules? i don't really have anything against korn. if they play decent and good music, why would i want to bad mouth them. Do you see me bad mouthing pantera, megadeth, morbid angel, cinderella, ratt, wasp or most metal bands?

Korn Rules because they mix different styles like a kind of techno(drum & bass) sound from david and fieldy. Then the guitar riffs make the metal, plus they are creative sometimes it sounds like a pianos playing to me, they dont just smack there hand against the chords like some other bands(not naming) then on top of all that you get some fuck up but cool singing from Jon. Hey its music to my ears plus they go hard live

this is fucking crap, the guitars are terrible also the drums all of it.the muscianhip is terrible, they are just some kind of frustrated rapers that were rejected but the same rapers and one day decided to make 'metal'. they are just the worst piece of crap in this world, if you want to listen to good msic listen to 80's hard rock bands(old bon jovi ,cinderella, motley crue). also black metal like dimmu, or satyricon. and maiden....just rockssss

Talk about pure ignorance. First off KoRn is simply hard rock. They are not rap. If you say they're rap then I'm going to say and stand by this: Cannibal Corpse is country western. They are one of the most unique and original bands out there today. They change with each album. They are incredibly talented. Just because it is not a bunch of distorted noise with nothing but a screaming vocalist, doesn't mean it's bad music. And they're all about the money??? You mus thave the IQ of a vegetable.

Are they in it for the money-of course they fuckin are-why else, social conscience? Nothing better to do? wake up and be real-not in it for the money ha ha ha-that's good!!

Dude KoRn rules! I love head and munky's guitar riffs, Jon's singing and screaming is amazing, fieldy's bass is banging, and David's drums are fookin groovy.. They are my fav band cause I can relate to Jon Davis's lyrics, he's god! Just because korn has a few rappers and what not on some of their songs, don't mean they're rap... i love metal, I love punk, emo.. I love rock music, I listen to everything rock.. Fuck off!

Issues came out pretty quickly on the heels of Follow The Leader, and I remember being surprised to hear "Falling Away From Me" on the radio one day. I know David Silveria later said this disc was rushed, and the songwriting was compromised, where there were no longer very many of those weird, jerky rhythms like on the first two albums especially. There are, however, several unnecessary interludes, that are more than just soundscapes but not full-fledged songs. Although worth noting, there's almost no rapping on this disc, after the last two having a pronounced hip-hop element. I was not a big Korn fan, although I tried. I'm a little more forgiving nowadays, and can enjoy them for what they are. like all their early albums, there are good songs here, like "Falling" and the other singles "Make Me Bad," "Somebody Someone) and "Let's Get This Party Started."
