With Annihilator's new album "Waking The Fury", you know what you are going to get...a solid thrashy CD that is easy to get accustomed to. Joe Comeau's vocals have never sounded meaner. The album begins and ends with two solid speed metal songs. In my opinion, with this album, this puts Jeff Waters on superstar status as far as metal guitarists go. Just a great slab 'o' metal here and a recommended buy.

What a GREAT friggin'album! I don't even mind that I had to buy it on import 'cos it hasn't been released in the US... "Ritual" and "Nothing To Me" are great songs and Jeff Waters is one of the greatest thrash guitar players in the game. Annihilator's made some good CDs, and some bad ones, but this is a good one. They're on a roll again!

"Waking the Fury" is appropriately titled as this disc simply shreds from beginning to end. As with the band's recent discs there are several hints of Judas Priest and Slayer. Jeff Water's guitar crunch of the past has been changed to a fuzzier tone, giving the disc a slightly thinner sound. Despite this minor flaw, W.T.F. is outstanding. There are only a handful of bands still doing this style of thrash metal, and few that do it this good, making Annihilator the kings of the scene.

A great CD! I must confess I was slightly put-off at first by the buzzy guitar tones, but once I got use to this, the brilliance of the songwriting shown through. Megadeth and Metallica wish they could put out an album this good! 9/10

It would be cool to see their following releases, "Double Live Annihilation" and "All For You", added here. And there's a new one on the way just a couple of months from now. With SO many great releases featuring so many killer tunes, and despite being essentially the Jeff Waters Show, Annihilator takes the title of (IMO)Best Band EVER! (...Big talk I know, but if I had to pick just one...)
