IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, SLAYER WILL NEVER TOP 'SEASONS' OR 'SOUTH OF HEAVEN.' THIS PROVES, THAT THIS BAND IS 'GOING THROUGHT THE MOTIONS.' NOT A BAD RECORD, BUT HOW MANY 'NOT BAD' RECORDS CAN YOU PUT OUT BEFORE THE FANS TURN ON YOU? THEY WENT FROM ANGRY YOUNG MEN TO GRUMPY OLD MEN. WHAT'S WIERD HERE IS THE TIMING, ISSUED ON 9.11.01, BIBLE ARTWORK, 13 TRACKS & THE TITLE OF THE LAST TRACK 'PAYBACK.' IT'S LIKE A SOUNDTRACK TO THE WTC ATTACK... ARE THEY REALLY IN LINE WITH THE DEVIL?!

What the fuck is this shit? Whatever happened to the Slayer of the 80's? These guys sound like a Slipknot rip-off on this album. How can you retards hail this as Slayer's best album? Oh, and for 'new metal', this album screams with watered down nu-metal guitar riffs.

What can I say about a band with an album name like 'God Hates Us All'? And what's up with their message in their song 'Jesus Saves'? And did you ever notice that their logo looks like a Satanic symbol? These guys should also be classified as Black metal for crying out loud! I HATE SLAYER!!!!!!!

Ok, every Slayer album is amazing. Look at it this way,in the song raining blood, kerrys amp is actually going in and out, to the point where the speakers are about to blow out. On God Hates Us All every thing is perfect, almost too perfect. And plus the CD was innapropiately titled, TOMS FUCKIN CATHOLIC, and he singas about satan. I listen to slayer for the music not the lyrics so thats my impression of slayer in general. Slayer still rules all, see em tis year at ozzfest...SLAYER!!!!!!

This album possesses the aggresiveness as Reign in Blood and so on. I really like the production, the guitars really crunch with power, something I felt that lacked on some of the earlier albums, but there are all still really fuckin great. I'd have to say Reign in Blood is still my favorite album, but I love God Hates Us All. It's just so fuckin angry...which is what Slayer is best at expressing. This band has captured anger better than any other band...and have done it album after album.

OLD SLAYER WERE GREAT. But this album has a nu-metal sound to it. just sounds like loud annoying screaming really. the first 5 slayer albums were all great. dont waste your money on the rest. nu-metal trash. i think slayers dead.

I have not heard the albums in between 'Seasons In The Abyss' and this one, but I can't imagine them being too much worse than this. The songs are very heavy and thrashy, but kind of sound recycled and the vocals are the worst of Araya's career. Just too much inane screaming. Nothing too bad, but I can't think of one song that sticks out. 6/10

Seasons In The Abyss, Reign In Blood, and this album are by far the best albums that I've ever heard. A couple of the songs sound a little nu-metal but its still a great album

I think G.H.U.A. is some of their best lyrics but they have succumb to the modern watered down chords and punk riffs. Also, many of the solos are a mess. I hate Tom's use of the vox on some tracks.

First thing, this album was released (after many delays throughout the summer) on September 11, 2001, and I don't have to remind anybody what happened that day. That said, God Hates Us All seemed like a perfect soundtrack to those first crazy weeks, and songs like "Disciple," "God Send Death," "New Faith" and "Payback" still bring back memories of that time. In between though, things get sketchy, with songs like "Cast Down" and "Threshold" sounding a bit more like Slipknot than the Slayer we all know and love. "Bloodline" appeared on the soundtrack to Dracula 2000, and was the closest thing to a radio single Slayer ever did. In the midst of such brutality, it seems a little out of place, as does "Warzone," which Kerry King wrote for some wrestling compilation that never happened, and is a very un-Slayer-like attempt at jock-rock. The plodding 'here Comes The Pain" and "Deviance" with its all-too-timely air-traffic-control intro are late-album highlights.

Definitely better than the previous few Slayer releases, and with a handful of classic songs (mainly tracks 2, 3, and 4), but overall not in the top tier of Slayer albums. It's more important for its surroundings, as a companion to a very bad, very strange time in our lives.

Apparently, "Here Comes The Pain" actually WAS on some wrestling compilation CD from 1999. But I could swear it was "Warzone," the lyrics seeming a bit more like locker-room pump-up than what you'd expect from Slayer. Maybe I can find that interview where King talked about it.
