My personal favorite Slayer album. The songs have enough variety to set them apart from each other 9usually), but not so much that you wonder what the hell's going on. A solid 9. The Fizz Picks: 'War Ensemble,' 'Expendable Youth,' 'Dead Skin Mask,' 'Skeletons of Scciety,' 'Temptation' and 'Seasons in the Abyss.'

This one is a slip after the last two classics. They have sped up the songs again and produce two of their best tracks ever in "War Ensemble" and "Seasons In The Abyss", which is my favorite song of theirs. 8/10

Great Thrash Metal album, with South Of Heaven my favs albums from this Great band, otro tremendo trabajo de una de las mejores bandas de Thrash de siempre el resto que hizo ya no fue lo mismo, temazos de la altura de Blood Red(BRUTAL!!! las guitarras que se clavan Kerry y King en este corte la hacen de los mejores duelos en todo el Heavy), Skeletons Of Society, Spirit In Black, Expendable Youth, Seasons In The Abyss(Santa Madre de Dios que Guitarreo BRUTAL que duelo).. Joyon 9.5/10

Si el "South of Heaven" me encantó, pues este SITA te va a fascinar. Slayer será por siempre la mejor banda de Thrash Metal que haya existido jamás IMHO. Otra obra de arte y su última por cierto. Acá mis 5 esenciales del disco: "Expendable Youth" "Dead Skin Mask" "Skeletons Of Society" "Temptation" y "Seasons In The Abyss" CLASICO. 9.9/10

Classic Slayer album...this band has some releases that are a mandatory must to metal heads everywhere..."Blood Red","Spirit In Black" & "Expendable Youth" are my 3 faves in here...85/100

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: June 1, 2014 at 16:25
O man, I love Seasos In The Abyss, easily my favorite Slayer album. Yes, Reign In Blood was a landmark for its speed and ferocity, but song for song, I'd take Seasons six days out of seven. To me, this one has combines the best aspects of Reign In Bloood and South Of Heaven. You get frantic thrashers like "War Ensemble," 'Hallowed Point" and "Spirit In Black," but also creepy crawlers like "Dead Skin Mask" and the title track, as welll as some pounding, thumping groovers like 'Expendable Youth" and "Skeletons Of Society," all with that essential Slayer sound that nobody's been able to copy until Evile came along.
