| For Exciter fans this was a major let down. Although this is a good Metal album it's a bad Exciter album. The only thing that really makes this album stand out is it contains their first single, "i hate school rules". Exciter fans will find their first 3 album much more to their liking.

Despite this album is quite a "must" for any Exciter fan one way or another on the other hand it was just an average record for some people,to me it is just a decent one(neither good nor bad)to be honest..."Shout It Out" & "Mission Destroy" are my faves...tracks 3,4,6 & 8 are also decent heavy tunes as well.80/100

| Original guitarist John Ricci was cool in his own way, but I gotta say that Brian McPhee added much to the sound with his more technical riffs and solos and I personally think this is Exciter's best album. "Die in the night" is awesome and they should have made a music video for it back in the day. In concert they could have benefited from using an additional live drummer, giving Dan a chance to focus more on his singing. All songs are good, among which "Waiting in the dark" and "I hate school rules" stand out. Quite different from the first three records, but still very good. | excellent heavy metal music for EXCITER back in 86 slowing down a bit and offering more anthemic songs with losing their rough & mean attitude!the guitar work is great and some good songs here like "break down the walls","die in the night","(i hate) school rule" and "shout it out"!recommended

| Hi Hair metal again, yes agreed and here's my take on this album. There's an interview with Dan from 86 on the tube, where he says they were very satisfied and proud of this album when it was done. They wanted a larger tour slot, they wanted finance for one or two videos (probably for Die in the night and School rules), but they got none of this, not even was Unveiling issued on CD (until 90-91, the only ever official release on a small Czech label Globus taken from the real master tape and not from LP). If Exciter would have had a few music videos on Headbanger's Ball, and so on, history could have been different. Without proper label and manager support, it's impossible. But the album is still one of the very best ever albums of that type of heavy metal, with skilled amazing guitars, and raw aggressive screamin' vocals, perfect for the gym! I like first three albums too but this is my fave. Guy Bidmead (who had worked w Motörhead etc) created a raw great sound. Get the Globus CD!!
