I was lucky enough to find a used copy of this album, 'cos I don't think it was ever officially released in the US. I dug their cover of "Heaven and Hell" on the HOLY DIO tribute album, and their original stuff is a lot faster and heavier than I expected from that cover version. Good stuff! Especially like the "Silence Of The Lambs" sample...

Enola Gay take their German power metal sound and add a slightly more modern tone, not unlike Nevermore. Enola Gay have gone grunge nor are they Nevermore clones, but take the emotional vocals, crunchy riffs and impassioned songwriting of Nevermore and mix it with the German metal of bands like Grave Digger & Rage & you'll get an idea of what "Strange Encounters" sounds like.
