| In some ways, Titans Of Creation is as good an album as any Testament have done. All the ingredients are there, and the songs slam as hard as ever. On the other hand though, like the previous album, I'm finding that not many songs are really sticking with me. The riffs and especially Chuck's vocal patterns and mebbodies all seem very familiar. Plus, the lyrical themes are a little tired. Still singing about the Nightstalker and the Heaven's Gate suicide-by-applesauce cult. Old news, in other words. And there's no getting around it: this album is way too long. And so, my favorite Testament disc of all remains The Gathering—what a fucking monster that one is!
