A lot of people will disagree but I think this was one of their best albums...So damn heavy & fast yet so polished & listener friendly that even your average Britney-clone will love it...Perfect album!

I agree with ya Scandinavia, this is an overlooked Priest album. When I first heard it I breathed a sigh of relief 'cos I had been afraid that they would continue with the TURBO style direction... thank God it didn't happen!

Ram it down remind me of tooth and nail by the great dokken. Heavy metal got amazing guitar solo while johnny B'goode is like a rally song or somethin'(like johnny was competing ina race). Anyway,a monstrous album by the best heavy metal band of all time-judas priest.

This was the album that introduced me to Priest. Since then I have spent many hours listening to this great band. eventhøugh the Priest had their primetime in the 70's and 80's, I never get bored of their sound.. A superb band

They drop the synths and attempt to go back to a pure metal sound here. The problem is that the songwriting is weak, among the worst of their career. The only thing I remember from this album is the epic 'Blood Red Skies'. 6/10

Most definitely agree Big Papa K---but,not only is the songwriting weak,i can't stand the overall sound of 'Ram It Down'- The entire album sounds too sterile and generic. You'd think after 'Turbo' Priest' would have let loose and cranked it up a notch, but fortunately for real metal fans that would come in the form of 'Painkiller' & They will probably never top that bad boy ! ----

Forse uno dei loro migliori album, soprattutto la canzone 'blood red skies'... Una perla del gruppo, che per fortuna ha cambiato stile rispetto a Turbo... un bel 9/10

Ill definitely agree with you there jack ---Tipton and Downing are without a doubt one of the best, most lethal twin-guitar combos ever !-and they've influnced and inspired everyone from Sherman/Denner (Mercyful Fate),Hanneman/King (Slayer),Hoffman/Fischer (Accept),Holt/Hunolt (Exodus) everyone from glam to thrash .

Great Heavy Metal album from Judas, hahaha que piruetas hablan arriba este es un gran disco de heavy por parte de los amos del metal, y que carajos nadie menciona la mejor cancion del album y una de mis favoritas de ellos me refiero a Contundente, Demoledora y llena de energia Johnny B. Goode que guitarras que solas por la puta madre que temazo brutal que se marcaron, me meto un fallo en nombre de Judas y en especial en este corte ahhh que rico fumando un cigarro escuchandolo. BUY.

With ram it down, I wouldn't say it's a return of form but rather a return of sound for the kings of classic metal, judas priest. The title track is the best priest opener since defender of the faith's freewheel burning-opens with an unearthly scream form halford and picks up incredible speed from there. The twin axing guitar solo from kk and tipton on the title track proves that they are the best guita duo along with maiden's smith and murray.

'Heavy metal' is quite cheesy but recently, halford states that he likes the song and hence it's included in their live shows. Other not worthy song are hard as iron (i like the thunder effect of the song), monster of rock and the melodic epic, red blood skies which shows halford dishing out his incredible vocal range. Last but not least, my fave-johnny b goode. It kicks the heck out of the chuck berry original. Overall, my priest album although i wouldn't regard this as a priest classic.

Rob Halford METAL GOD!. 8.5/10

excellent release for JUDAS PRIEST back in 88 with amazing guitar work and thrilling vocals from Rob indeed!underrated in their catalogue mostly because of the strange choices in promoting it!"ram it down","heavy metal","come and get it" are great songs !you cand go wrong with the PRIEST
