The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you
notice that a particular Metallica CD release or compilation is missing
from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page.
The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal
as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live
compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official
CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Metallica are also welcome to be added, as
long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

|This may come as a surprise, but Hardwired is actually a pretty good album. Not sure why it's a double CD, as if I'm not mistaken, the total running timeis still under 80 minutes, but it's still about three songs too long. It's similar to the best moments of Death Magnetic, but there are some slower, more methodical plodding tracks as well. The big question is: does it even matter what Metallica does anymore? I mean, after helping invent thrash metal and then pushing its boundaries to the very breaking point on their first four albums, they've subsequently been fallen behind the pack for a quarter century. So while this is an enjoyable listen (but not terribly memorable), it's hard to deny that recent releases by Testament and jExodus, to name a couple, mop the floor with Metallica these days.
