Brutal Metal forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you
notice that a particular Symphony X CD release or compilation is missing
from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page.
The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal
as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live
compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official
CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Symphony X are also welcome to be added, as
long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I've probably said it before, but Symphony X tries their best to make me hate them. Can you imagine some geeky, middle-aged metal guys sitting around brainstorming for their next album: "Well, we already did one based on John Milton ... and Homer ... and one about technology making man obsolete ... I know! Let's do one on Dante's Inferno!" Yeah, what an original idea. Then they gotta have an intro "called 'Overture" naturally) that's downright gay. And then Russell Allen crams as many cliches as possible into just the first verse of "Without You." But goddammit, I love Symphony X! Just about the only band in this style that I like.
