One of the all-time greatest thrash metal albums ever released. Vengeance (Rising) were one of the heaviest bands to exist in the 80's. The big difference between VR and bands like Dark Angel or Slayer was the lyrics, which screamed a message of Christianity. Unfortunately that label would hinder their sales, despite the fact that the music was so awesome! If this had been marketed differently, VR would have been at least as big as bands like Testament, if not on par with Megadeth and Slayer.

Besides echoing what the previous three posters have stated regarding this M'fer of an album. Is it true that Pastor Bob Beeman's hand is on the cover ??--I heard this once awhile back.Is Roger still an atheist? Is he still offering his absurd baptismal removal service?--

Yes, that is Bob Beeman's hand. The ex-Vengeance guys post daily on the Once Dead board. You can ask any question you wish there. http://p204.ezboard.com/froxxproductionsfrm9

The first 2 Vengeance CD's are simply among the best thrash albums ever released....Totally unique sound with a touch of blues with the thrash - Very intense!....Lyrics were awesome and Roger's vocals and Larry and Doug's guitars really stood out. They should have sold through the roof..better than bands like Slayer.....Pity R Martinez flipped out!

A brilliant piece of work!! Got me through some tough times and inspired my playing as a guitar player. If you are a believer or not you SHOULD have this in your collection just being a metalhead! God Bless!
