| Similar to La Sexorcisto, but even more littered with horror-movie snippets and weird noises,really junking up the landscape this time. I've read that Rob was obsessed with samples and loops and various other techno gizmos, and wanting to Sean and J. to write riffs around them, using them as the basis for the songs rather than adornments. I guess that would explain the non-riffiness of several songs. You still get some good ones, like both the "Electric Head" tracks, "Super-Charger Heaven," and "Creature Of The Wheel," which are nearly up to the standard of the first album. But also some songs that are just downright boring, like "Grease Paint and Monkey Brains" and "Blood, Milk And Sky." And then there's the band's biggest hit, "More Human Than Human," which substitutes random, tuneless noise for a riff, a stupid electronic background, and Rob rapping in a nasal whine that is soon to become his main voice, his gruff "Thunder Kiss"bark rapidly going the away of the buffalo.

| I touched on this in my last comment but ... I heard "More Human Than Human" on the radio today, and got thinking: you kknow, I dont' know if I ever really liked this song. Even when it first came out. I mean, I was glad White Zombie were putting out new music, and it was better than fucking Collective Soul, who owned mainstream rock radio in 1995. But Rob's voice is totally different (and annoying!), there's no real riff, and there's that stupid keyboard thing burbling along in the background. "Electric Head Pt. 2" was the second single, and when I heard that one, I was like, "Hell yeah, now THIS is more like it!"
