| With just two albums released, a live disc was kind of unnecessary at thiss point. It's okay, very raw and unplished-sounding, Zakkk's live singing not very good. The real reason to get this is for the bonus disc, which contains two of Zakk's best balllds from any project, in the form of "Like A Bird"and "Blood In The Well," and a nice coover of Neil Young's "Heart Of gold."

In kinda of agreement with my buddy Doghouse Reilly in here...and the acoustic disc is kinda dull as well...not a bad release at all but not to go jumping around like a rabbit either  .80/100

| Another note about the live disc: it's relentlessly heavy, with most songs running right into each other with no pauses, with very little talking from Zak (which may be a good thing). Really, the only letup comes in the middle of "No More Tears" (which sounds very little like the version Ozzy recorded), where Zakk suddenly switches to a mellow guitar tone, but only for about thirty seconds.

| I remember hearing "Like A Bird" on the radio a few times back when this first came out, and the version played had some electric guitar laid over the acoustic, to the detriment of the song. It just strikes me odd that I've never found that version anywhere or even heard of it since, but I know I have it on a cassette from that time. One of the last songs I recorded off the radio, in fact, as my reliance on that medium was near its end.

| Two other live offerings from BLINDS that don't appear on this site, probably because they're DVD's and not released as standalone audio: Boozed, Broozed and Broken-Boned (2003) was recorded at Harpo's in Detroit, if I recall, on a night when the BLINDS faithful drank the place dry. This one features a similar setlist to Alcohol Fueled Brewtality, with blocks of songs flowing into each other in the same way, but with a few tunes from 1919 Eternal, and also "Spoke In The Wheel." The downside is that Zakk babbles drunkenly and profanely, and worst of all, not humorously between some songs. I guess this seemed cool when we were all younger, but in hindsight, he just sounds dumb.

| The other one is from 2005 and is called something like "The European Invasion: Doomtroopin' Live." This one obviously features more emphasis on songs from The Blessed Hellride and Mafia. If I recall, most of this was recorded in Paris, with the extra four (redundant) tracks from London. Many of theseversions are extended well beyond their original lengths with drawn-out guitar jams that really begin to feel repetitive and aimless as the show wears on. Leading into "Spoke In The Wheel," Zakk noodles for about ten minutes on his acoustic guitar, sometimes playing whole or almost whole songs ("Mama, I'm Comin' Home") without vocals, and sometimes playing nothing in particular for minutes on end. This makes the disc kind of disappointing overall. At this point, Zakk was beginning to seem like a bit of a joke, and his singing, never his strong point, was really suffering. He pretty much just yelled over a muddy mix the entire time.
