The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Sevendust CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Sevendust are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Nu-metal was still very young in 1997, and yet Sevendust already distinguished themselves from the pack. Where Korn, Coal Chamber and Snot (arguably the genre's first practitioners) dealt in extremely simplistic andj repetitive riffs and vocals that alternate between muttered verses and screamed choruses, Sevendust were immediately more melodic and musical. The band is still heavy and groovy, but adds more textures, less industrial noises, and singer Lajon Witherspoon actually SINGS. Hell, "Will It Bleed" even has some proggy time-changes in it. Highlights include the singles "Black," "Bitch" and "Too Close To Hate," as well as the mellower "Prayer," "Speak" and "My Ruin."
