Heavy Metal band from Germany. Initially, founding members Tobe Schmidt and Djardes Jeromin wanted to form a 3-piece classic heavy metal band following the model of Rage or Sodom. They took the name Valorénén, but it was changed to Layment in 1998. The band’s sound evolved to gothic metal, which was combined with black and power metal elements. After some line-up shifts and a demo released in 2000, the band stopped working. However, a couple of years later, Tobe and his brothers built up Layment again.

The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Brutal Metal as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
