I didn't like this album. The guitar work was fine, but it seemed to be geared to work better with the voice of Barnes. Later releases were much more stisfying. Recommended for CC fans in general, this should not be anybody's intro to the band though as they are capable of so much more than this album.

Song titles are nice....the cover is teh best...the band is from hell...

This band of poorly educated no hopers is really disturbing. What's with all the gore and violence. Is this how they think they'll get noticed?! It hasn't happened yet (after all these years) so I don't think they should hold their breath waiting. They're really fucked up, childish and bizaar!! They'll never be anything more than they are now....nobodies going nowhere. They're very instrumentally competent though...they should use it to better advantage!!

Corpse are a good band but they where great when they had Chris Barnes

This is the album that started the thing for George Fisher+Cannibal Corpse. Their teaming up has made CC probably the most polished brutal death metal band in the world. Hail CorpseGrinder!Hail Cannibal Corpse!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 26, 2013 at 17:02
First album with George Fisher on vocals and what could you expect from it???...just a brutal release!!!...a good choice of vocalist by all means IMO..."Devoured By Vermin" is the "hit" and far the best cut in it...add also tracks 2,4,9 & 11 to the cause...80/100
