Pleasantly surprised. Dimbag Darrell and his brother Vinnie Paul, formally of Pantera, have gone on to create this band. They done a great job of mixing old school metal with 'nu-metea' sounds, but there is still a nice hint of Pantera in their music. 'Save Me' was the first single of the album. Other songs to check out are: 'Breathing New Life' - 'New Found Power' - 'Pride'.

From: TooNeYDWS Date: December 9, 2004 at 21:49
this whole thing is like one of my first memories... my mother crying over the shooting of John Lennon... ironic that Darrell Abbott bit a fan's bullet on the same day... 24 years later... just enough to give us the same horrible pain!!! i would not have made it through high school without WALK... STRENGH BEYOND STRENGH... AAAAARRRRGHHH!!!! this Nathan Gale asshole got off easy... i'm sure in '80 many people wanted to see Chapman suffer... prison sure as shit wasn't good enough for Lennon's life

From: TooNeYDWS Date: December 9, 2004 at 21:54
public hanging... like days of old... that Carlin endorses... like the suffering i only wish i was the cop who got to take Gale down... SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!! i cried at my desk this morning... i hope Phil Anselmo feels really good about himself... like Yoko... the one to blame was the one the bullets missed... sorry Kirk

From: danzanka Date: December 15, 2004 at 11:04
Not directly, but if you check out knac.com there is a link to the webmaster for some Pantera and Phil Aneslmo related web sites that released a statement on Phil's behalf.

From: viking king Date: December 26, 2004 at 21:15
i read that phil was going to take a break from the music business for a long while b/c shooting of his freind phils words who he said he loved like a brother he said he wanted to be at the funeral but he didnt go at reqest from the dimebags family he said he said he wished to god he could have said goodbye

From: Metal King Date: February 15, 2005 at 20:24
He's dead, get over it, this is an album review site. Now, down to business. This CD is just another Nu-metal piece of crap. They all sound the same. I feel like i'm been taking crazy pills, doesn't anybody else realize that Lamb of God, Hatebreed and Damageplan, etc... all sound the same! What a waste of money this disc was.

From: 3k Date: February 16, 2005 at 0:51
alot of bands copied panteras vocal style

From: Dani Filth Date: June 3, 2005 at 11:44
i have been wracked with grief. Never again shall heavy metal be the same. almost six months on and o still can not get over the fact that DIMEBAG DARREL IS FUCKING DEAD!!!!! Sorry, Metalking, but i have to have my say here. Nathan Gale will rot in pain for the length of eternity- unfortunately, this is nowhere near long enough for my liking.

From: Date: June 3, 2005 at 23:47
dimebag darrell best heavy metal guitarist ever

From: ultmetal Date: September 28, 2005 at 9:43
I suppose to leave any negative words about this CD after Dime's death would be blasphemy. However, this CD is no where near as good as anything Pantera did. This sounds like your basic drop-D, chugga-chugga, boring mallcore. Most of the guitar work sounds like it came out of a Drowning Pool or Slipknot disc. Dime is relying on distortion more than on writing killer riffs. Compare the best song on this CD to anything on Cowboys from Hell and see if you don't agree that this just doesn't hold up.
