Final release with Fast Eddie Clarke on guitar. He also produces, and then bails two dates into the ensuing tour. Iron Fist for some reason gets a bad rap, maybe just because it comes after Ace Of Spades, admittedly a hard act to follow. It's still a solid 8.5 or 9, though; it's better and jmore consistent than the more often hailed Bomber, to my ears. All songs are prime Motorhead in the classic, nearly-out-of-control style of the period. The title tack is, of course, an all-time classic, with other favorites being "Heart Of Stone," "I'm The Doctor," "Go To Hell," the final four tracks. The stumbling block is the production, which starts out great, but for some reason falls off in the late going, particularly in the drum department. By the time we get to "(Don't Need) Religion," the thump is gone, replaced by a distant tapping.

After that fantastic live album came this "Iron Fist" one.An album that continued with the same sound formula of making music as only Lemmy knew how to do.My fave song is the one that gives the title to the record...some other fine moments are # 2,3,6,8,9,10 & 12...enjoyable stuff as usual...80/100 :-)
